Rebecca writes plays, comedy, and journalism. She's interested in finding the silly and the serious in each other, tight-knit communities, and questions about religion and culture. Her nonfiction often weaves reporting with cultural criticism and a strong first-person narrative. Her writing has been published in The Forward, The New Haven Independent, Alma, and HowlRound Theatre Commons. At Yale, Rebecca was awarded the James S. Metcalfe Prize for the best essay about theater. She graduated as a Yale Journalism Scholar and, in 2024, wrote more and slept less than any other two week period of her life as a fellow of the O'Neill's National Critics Institute.
Rebecca co-wrote the web series i'm so happy for you!!!!!! with Ihea Inyama and Charlotte Polk and is developing a new play about a krav maga class in a synagogue basement. She is also on Substack.

i'm so happy for you!!!!!! is a ten-episode comedy web series that Rebecca co-wrote and stars in with Charlotte Polk and Ihea Inyama. It follows four friends from the same college improv group when one makes her Broadway debut as the Bachelorette in The Bachelorette: The Musical (The Bachelorette Musical) a year after graduation, sending the other three into a tailspin and forcing them to reconcile their friendship with their overwhelming jealousy.
